The Easiest Applesauce

Writer's picture: Sara N HersheySara N Hershey

This applesauce is delicious, easy, and healthy! It makes a great side dish, addition to a bowl of ice cream, or in your morning oatmeal! The measurements are very flexible! I usually end up using however many apples I have =)

2 pound of apples, peeled and cored

3/4 cup of water

1 tablespoon of butter or ghee

1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon

splash of apple cider vinegar

Peel and chop apples into quarters and place in a large pot. Add water, butter/ghee, cinnamon, and apple cider vinegar to pot. Simmer on low until apples are soft and tender. Use an immersion blender or food processor to achieve the desire consistency of your delicious applesauce! Chill in the refrigerator or serve warm!
