Launch Week

Two and a half years ago, I was dreaming about horses, in awe of my God who loves me in spite of my faults and failures, and wondering how in the world I could share with others my story and how they too could experience healing and hope through horses and the love of Christ.

As I continued to dream, I saw a movie, that shaped my future. Unbranded is a film about four men who rode semi-trained mustangs from the border of Mexico to Canada. Along the way, they faced tremendous trials and triumphs, and I couldn't help but think as I watched the movie, "I could do this too. Maybe this is how I can share with others how much God loves them and how I experienced that love through horses."

After watching the film and talking to one of my closest friends, I realized that this could be possible, and there, in September of 2015, Mustangs on a Mission became a vision. Over the last two and a half years, there have been changes to the team, trails, questions on what we have gotten ourselves into, doubt, and a whole lot of toughening up. Without a doubt, God has blessed this journey. He has brought people into our lives who have made this mission possible. Olivia and I have both grown tremendously over the last two years and now, here we are, just days away from riding from the Mexican border!

God is faithful and good. He has protected and led us to the start line. He is shaping, growing and molding us with the loving hands of a perfect Father. He wants to be the loving Father to you too if you'll let Him. So saddle up and follow along if you want to see how God works in our lives over the next 6 months and how He can work in your life too if you'll open your heart to Him.

Happy Trails!

xo,

Sara
